OUR STORY
What started as a heartfelt response to the plight of Ugandan orphans and abandoned babies in 2009; Aggie’s Baby Home now provides babies a HOPE, a HOME, and a FUTURE. The 10-room home that opened in June of 2010 provides a warm, safe home for (up to) 18 babies. Some of our children are true orphans and may be available for adoption. Other children are there because they have been abandoned or their family is unable to care for them. Aggie’s Baby Home is there to help. We are a registered Non-Government Organization (NGO) of Uganda and is recognized by the Ministry of Gender. It is located in the Wakiso District of Uganda and is a licensed Baby Home.The staff at Aggie’s Baby home are loving, local Christian men and woman caregivers. The local director and all those involved in the baby home in the United States are VOLUNTEERS. No-one receives any compensation of any kind. Aggie’s Baby Home is supported solely by a FEW caring individual donors and by funds raised at special events and of course – prayer! We do not receive any governmental funding or grants. Aggie’s Baby Home makes the difference between life and death for these children. 2. Build and maintain a safe, warm shelter
3. Provide all basic needs including formula, food, blankets, clothing and medical care
4. Create a loving, nurturing environment.
5. Help to place babies in qualified homes through adoption/guardianship
